- Aerodynamics & Aviation Science: Basic principles of flight, aircraft systems, and navigation.
- Flying Training: Selected cadets get opportunities for gliding and microlight flying.
- Drill & Discipline: Similar to other wings, the Air Wing emphasizes discipline, parade drills, and leadership.
2. Camps & Competitions:
- Annual Training Camps (ATC): Includes theoretical and practical aviation training.
- Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC): A premier all-India level camp for Air Wing cadets.
- Republic Day Camp (RDC): Outstanding cadets get a chance to participate in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
3. Incentives & Career Opportunities:
- Scholarships: Some cadets may receive scholarships for higher studies in aviation.
- Priority in Armed Forces: Air Wing cadets get an edge in joining the Indian Air Force (IAF) through the NCC Special Entry Scheme.
