1. NCC Army Wing Ranks
The Army Wing is the largest and most prominent wing of the NCC. Its rank structure closely resembles that of the Indian Army.

Junior Division/Wing - JD/JW
- Cadet (No Rank Insignia): Newly enrolled cadets without any rank.
- Cadet Lance Corporal (One Stripe): The first promotion, given to cadets who show leadership potential.
- Cadet Corporal (Two Stripes): Assists in squad-level training and discipline.
- Cadet Sergeant (Three Stripes with NCC Emblem): Leads a platoon and assists officers in training.
- Cadet Company Sergeant Major (CSM) (Four Stripes with NCC Emblem & Star): The senior-most cadet rank in a company, responsible for discipline and coordination.
- Cadet Battalion Under Officer (BUO) (One Pip & NCC Crest): Acts as a junior officer, assisting in battalion-level administration.
- Cadet Senior Under Officer (SUO) (Two Pips & NCC Crest): The highest cadet rank, representing the battalion at higher levels.

Senior Division/Wing - SD/SW
- Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) (Honorary Rank): Given to Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) after long service.
- Lieutenant (One Star): Entry-level officer rank for ANOs.
- Captain (Two Stars): Given after advanced training and experience.
- Major (One Lotus Leaf): Senior officer rank, commanding units.
- Lieutenant Colonel (Two Lotus Leaves): Commands larger NCC groups.
- Colonel (Three Lotus Leaves): Highest rank for NCC officers, overseeing directorates.

The Naval Wing follows a rank structure similar to the Indian Navy.

- Cadet Leading Seaman (One Chevron): Junior leadership role.
- Cadet Petty Officer (Two Chevrons with Anchor): Supervises small groups.

- Deputy Director General (DDG) (Major General / Rear Admiral / Air Vice Marshal Equivalent): Assists the DG in administration.
